This online information session is for parents and carers who are awaiting an autism assessment for their child, have recently received an autism diagnosis for their child or those who just generally want to know more about autism. It is appropriate for parents and carers supporting people of all ages.
Autism is a complex neurological condition. This session aims to provide an overview of what you need to know now to support your family.
This session will cover:
- What is autism?
- What are the common traits of autism?
- Sensory differences
Peer Educators for this session are Laura McFadden and Paula Kaminska.
This is an online information session that will be delivered over Zoom. The session is free. It is for parents and carers of autistic individuals (no diagnosis required) living in South West England you must be registered in advance. Personal assistants are also welcome.
